Donations were made in memory of Frank Spence, adored son-in-law of the late Marguerite Alvarez of Hills, BC and husband of Nanette who spent her youth on the banks of Bonanza Creek. While born in Toronto, he adopted the Kootenays as his own and treasured Slocan Lake and the family times spent there.
