Sayre Knight

Sayre is a long-time resident of the Slocan Valley, having moved to the Kootenays as a child in 1985. After graduation, she spent years travelling and working abroad until she returned to Winlaw in 2009 to lay down her roots and raise a family.

Over the last decade, Sayre has worked within her community doing recreational programming and bringing numerous literacy programs and initiatives to the community as the Community Literacy Outreach Coordinator. In addition, she has worked as the Co-Executive Director at the W.E. Graham Community Service Society managing the food bank, daycare, and youth centre. Throughout her career she has served on multiple boards.

Having a deep love for her community, Sayre is thrilled to be a part of the Slocan Valley Legacy Fund and is looking forward to contributing her efforts to support the strength and vitality of the Slocan Valley.
