Ruth Hackett

Ruth was raised in Toronto and has spent most of her adult life in British Columbia – Vancouver, Victoria, Chemainus. She came to Slocan Park in 2010 to live near her daughter. Ruth refers to herself as a ‘professional’ volunteer. She is currently serving on boards for the Slocan Valley Housing Society, Passmore Hall, Slocan Park Hall, Stephen Lewis Foundation Grassroots Grammas and a private foundation supporting residents of the Chemainus Valley. Ruth is looking forward to working with the Legacy Board and feels blessed to have the opportunity to raise and provide funds for community projects.
