BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE SLOCAN VALLEY COMMUNITY LEGACY SOCIETY – YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, PROVIDING GRANTS TO LOCAL GROUPS SINCE 2013
April 14 to April 20, 2024 is National Volunteer Week, a time to celebrate and honour Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers. Volunteers come in all sizes, shapes and ages, keeping our communities strong and resilient. We believe they deserve to be thanked and appreciated.
You Are Invited!
If you are involved with a non-profit group in the Slocan Valley/Area H, your group is invited to send up to five of your hardest-working, most dedicated volunteers to a special event!
This FREE event is on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Bosun Hall in New Denver. There will be refreshments, entertainment and door prizes!
We are also open to suggestions of individuals who contribute to their community in an informal way, rather than with a group. If you know of such a person, please consider submitting their name.
Funding for this event is provided by the Columbia Basin Trust and by AREA H RDCK Director Walter Popoff.
*We realize that many of the folks who should attend this event are members of more than one organization. In fact we know that many of you are involved with several! We are giving you plenty of notice so that you can coordinate your efforts, and avoid duplication. Please ensure that the people you are inviting are aware and available – we want all the spots to be filled.
