IN MEMORY OF
My brother Tony lived with all the challenges of being born with Downs Syndrome. Yet, for 57 years he brought joy to the lives of many and on the shores of Slocan Lake he found some of the happiest moments of his own life. This photo shows him and his mother Marguerite Alvarez enjoying our beach at the north end of the lake. In the summer of 2020, in his memory, we planted a tree on the property just a few metres from where the photo was taken. My donation to the Slocan Legacy Fund is another way that his memory will live on.
The Society has a particular focus on serving the Slocan Valley – RDCK Area H.
